The here used optics are made of silicate glass, which is very scratch-resistant, has a very high sharpness and an extremely high contrast image. The housing is coated with a special 2-component-coating, which is also scratch-resistant. Additionally, this coating is resistant to hand perspiration and nearly all chemicals and solvents. A long-life high-performance LED with a lighting colour of approximately 6000K completes this magnifier.
